Prospect Follow-up
Jobster sits down with Laura Sivertsen - Functional Team Leader / Staffing US - John Deere
Jobster: What is John Deere?
Laura: Deere & Company, founded in 1837 (collectively called John Deere), has grown from a one-man blacksmith shop into a corporation that today does business around the world and employs approximately 50,000 people. The company continues to be guided, as it has been since its beginning, by the core values exhibited by its founder: integrity, quality, commitment and innovation.
Jobster: How has Jobster made your recruiting experience more efficient and effective?
Laura: It has allowed us to target the passive candidates we were missing out on by simply posting positions on job boards. It also allows contacts and prospects to indicate interest in a position, without having to complete our full online application.
Jobster: Explain how Jobster has made it easier for you to find and manage candidates?
Laura: We have utilized the Find People feature of Jobster and are getting a great deal of traffic from Jobster.com. Jobster allows recruiters to very easily categorize contacts and keep track of follow-ups. One of the features I use the most is the "Set calendar reminder" to help me manage when I need to follow-up with contacts that I’ve messaged out to.
Jobster: What is one of your most frustrating times associated with recruiting and how has Jobster helped you?
Laura: We have utilized Jobster to keep track of attendees from career fairs that we attend. By having the attendees join the Talent Network right at our booth, it makes it much easier for us to keep track of and follow-up with them after the event. It is much better than having to sift through piles of paper resumes!
